We understand only twelve GTOs were built by Lenham and the opening boot aperture was not succesful because it was a glassfibre tail. This car was built from a 1965 Sprite using a 1973 Heritage shell in 1989 and was built at a cost of £18000. It has a 1340cc tuned engine and trimmed in leather and is now 1 of 2 in existance as far as we know. The boot aperture is fixed. The car is now back with David Matthew who originally commissioned it. David has kept in touch off and on and flew up with son Mark and bought back his little baby; a bit like my E Type story so it's now back in Kent. I'm delighted David and his family are going to have the enjoyment with it again. This new photograph was recently unearthed in the garage loft.
