| | | These things made the ground shake! In Spring 1978 Father came back from Rutherfords at Cornhill down in the Borders having taken a driver down for a new car 'dealer transfer' and he enthused about this beautiful sounding Jensen with its V8 engine. Nothing would stop him and we bought this silver ex-Rossleigh demo Interceptor. The number was originally been 1FGG. This car provided joy and complete irritation. After giving up doing the work ourselves the factory at West Bromich rebuilt the car, changing the colour to Rolls Royce Regal Red and just as we had everything just right we did what so many of us do in the trade - we sold it without enjoying the fruit of our labour and expense! The 'trade price' we paid for it began to look somewhat silly! |
