| | | My father bought this car from Donald Grassick in Perth - they were old friends - and my brother Sid and I thought we were in for a bit of fun. However, Tom Legget's 1966 E Type had worn out and he spied this whilst driving past our house on the Queensferry Road in Edinburgh. A deal was done far too quickly for our liking and Tom bought the car as a stop gap before his final E Type, a 5.3 V12 Series III, arrived in June 1971. This E Type is the one I searched for for about 20 years or so to find and you can see it featured on this column. |
