| | The last of four Cossies we owned and this was the most tractable one with the smaller turbo charger. The throttle delay was minimal in this car and it cost me my licence on the M9 on Valentine's Day 1997. I was tootling along at my regular 80-85mph when a clear stretch opened up and I put the car to test...up to 140mph and immediately back down but it was too late.
A white unmarked Volvo T5 was following me and it cost me a year's ban and a driving test resit which I then failed for going too slow! We still owned this car 5 years later when it had covered less than 3,000 miles before it went off to a new home in St Ives, Cornwall. |
