| | "My Heritage Collection would be incomplete without a picture of Forbes MacGregor in his famous A35 van which succeeded my favourite Minor 1000, RWS 809.
Forbes is seen here at Ingliston motoring well because this ""van"" was leaning over and the suspension was solid!
In my experience Forbes was the most knowledgable fellow on the A Series engine and he very kindly assisted me in tuning my Morris 1300 with polished head, Triumph Spitfire pistons, slightly high lift cam, twin 1 1/4"" carbs, freeflow exhaust manifold and a wolf in sheep's clothing Austin 1300GT exhaust. This gave way to a raucous twin pipe system. Great fun to look back on - 1974 was the time." |
