| | | We supplied this car new to a London customer finished in Madagascar Brown. In 1986 we took it back against another new Aston and we started a long process of almost rebuilding it! Firstly, at 80,000 miles the engine was using oil - we thought too much London driving didn't help - and Chapman Spooner of Walsall rebuilt the engine and overhauled the mechanics. Ernie Lloyd of Nuneaton completely stripped the car and we repainted it in Rolls Royce Royal Blue and also fitted the Cibie driving lamps. I thoroughly enjoyed this car for a couple of years and it remains in my memory as a real thoroughbred. It is pictured here on a very still day at St Marys Loch, not far from Peebles. |
