| | I ordered this 'fully loaded' XR3i and changed the colour to BMW909, a green that was not really around much 20 years ago.
During two and a half years we spent a lot of time on it fitting a Turbo Technics Turbocharger and uprated brakes. I had the seats piped with a matching green and some other essentials: a red leather bound steering wheel and twim round headlights plus small incidentals. I ordered it with no sunroof since at over 100mph they tended to 'buffet'.
What a poser I must have been! Also the twin headlights were a French conversion and I removed the door mirrors - for aerodynamic reasons - and fitted this 'racing' mirror. |
