| | This beautiful Bristol, from the very early 1950s, is another Robbie Goodburn car. My old Glass's Index of Registration Numbers tells me that numbers LSC1 to LSC120 were issued in December 1953.
Bristol are still in existence although only producing a tiny number of bespoke cars. The early Bristols with the lovely, smooth 6 cylinder straight six 2 litre BMW engine were highly desirable.
According to my information just over 600 '401' cars were manufactured and Bristol became known as the company that produced "The Gentleman's Express".
Whenever I'm in London I aim to stop by the small Bristol Cars showroom in Kensington High Street for a quick look. |
