| | My father took this delightfull little car in part exchange in 1968 and he took us to school in it for a few weeks until it found a home in Peebles with long standing friend Robbie Goodburn.
The S800 was delevoped from the S500 of 1962 and then the S606 of 1965. It was Honda's first venture into car manufacture and was less expensive than a Mini Cooper. One unique feature was it's roller bearing crankshaft which provided for a very high revving engine and it had a tremendous wail which was a delight.
I used to see the number running around Edinburgh for a number of years after. |
