| | James and David Hall, family relations, are seen here at a speed trial in their identical Midgets. These were the best two Midgets without doubt! With their 1098cc engines Speedwell tuned by Bobby Longmuir (see other article) and the wide wheels with removed bumpers, flared wheel arches and altered grilles these cars were simply magic.
David was returning from a Speed Test in Dunfermline once - in the park no less - when the engine siezed going over the Forth Road Bridge spinning the car round and David was very fortunate to remain unscathed. |
