| | "This is an Austin A135 Princess Sheerline Mark III which ceased production in 1956. What followed was the Mark IV and then, I think, the Vanden Plas version. There were 1910 produced of all 3 Marks.
The photograph was taken outside our family home at 1 Belgrave Road in Corstorphine, Edinburgh, and one feature which I thought was of particular interest is the gas lamp which I remember being lit by 'Leerie the Lamplighter' until probably 1958 or thereabouts when the 'all new' street lamps were put up." |
